I was going to write a blog about the trials of the last few months and make some amazing points about social media and how we are lost and how we get found and blah, blah ,blah. I was on a real roll too. Then I remembered you are probably just as much in need of a break from it as I am. I have missed you all so much. I do hope you find some time for quiet and sunshine. I hope you are healthy and safe and I hope you have people in your life that continue to bring you joy. I appreciate each and everyone of you for your love and support and wish you nothing but the same in return. So I decided to instead share with you the exciting changes I am planning for my business because of your response to my new line.
I was blessed this Spring/Summer to be able to participate multiple times in the Hyannis artist Shanty program, which helped me to be able to see some of you in a safe environment and I am so grateful. It turned out to be a very successful season in so many ways. I met some wonderful new artists and customers I had never met before, I saw old friends from previous years, I made new fans and got some awesome challenges from custom requests that helped me to learn new and exciting techniques. It also helped me to re-evaluate the direction of my business line.
I added a small selection of very high quality stones into my line last year and they sold almost instantly, So this year I added a larger line and the response from you my fans was incredible. I sold so many pieces from the new line that I had to keep replenishing it with more high quality pieces. The type of pieces I had sold in previous years began to slow down and came to a stop all together as the the other items took over. I can not tell you how in this economy how shocked I was to see this turn of events. It solidified for me that you the customer expects more from me and sees my potential and artistry as something to be highly valued. I can't tell you how blessed and honored that makes me feel. It inspires me to keep reaching for higher standards and to keep refining and learning techniques. Thank you so much!
Because of this wonderful change in my business and line I am also changing how I run my business and looking into better ways to promote and keep you all involved in my business. I am looking into new possibilities for where and how I run my shop and website. I am changing my current lines to better fit with the higher quality demand. I am keeping my recycled copper sheet metal line, but I am switching my pendants and earrings to the beautiful Rose Gold instead of the copper wire, to accent the high quality stones. (Copper will still be available for custom requests.) I now work with a couple of master lapidary (stone cutting) artists for many of the pieces in my lines. I plan to faze out all the man made stones and cultured sea glass, and use only natural materials going forward.
I am so very excited to see the possibilities of my lines continued growth and refinement. Thank you for the support and feedback that is helping me to make my business and artwork the best it can be.
I have put all the pieces that are being dropped from the line into my Facebook shop and they are now 50-60% off the original price. They are still my signature high quality work and materials, they just don't fit into the new line going forward. Get some amazing pieces for your favorite ladies (including yourself). Holiday shopping done, oh and did I mention they come wrapped with a bow and ready to give? Yup, I got you covered.
Love and Peace to you all.
I am a self taught jewelry artist and designer. My blog is the door to all the new things I learn, the stones I use and love, the pieces I created and the events I participate in as well as my thoughts along this journey. I hope you enjoy the ride with me.
